Frequently Asked Questions
Please see below for questions you may have as you begin to plan your trip! Of course, feel free to reach out to Shannon and Thomas with any other questions.
What date should I RSVP by?
We need to have our final headcount in with the venue by the 11th of April — so please RSVP by or on that date!
What is the address to the wedding venue?
Well, hopefully you’re not trying to drive here and realize that it’s in Italy by now! Positano is very walkable, even if you’re staying somewhere other than Hotel Marincanto. Here is the address: Via Cristoforo Colombo, 50, 84017 Positano SA, Italy
Where should I stay? Do you have a room block? How do I get to positano?!
Feel free to stay wherever you like as we do not have a room block! We will be staying at Hotel Marincanto, but feel free to stay at any hotel/AirBnB that fits your budget, preferences, etc. Please note that Positano is built into the cliffside, so while you may not be “far” from the places you’d like to go and the venue, there are lots of stairs to climb and hills to walk!
We have created two separate pages on this website to help with Travel and Accommodations — please refer to these pages or reach out to Shannon and/or Thomas for help!
What is the dress code for the wedding?
Black tie attire, please! Ladies, this means floor length dresses — here is a Pinterest board for more inspo. Men, this means you get to wear your sharpest tuxedo.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Please plan on being outdoors the entire time! The ceremony will be on the rooftop of Hotel Marincanto followed by aperitifs. We will then move to a private outside area for dinner!
Do I need a passport?
Yes.
Do I need to bring euros or can I use a credit card?
Most places in Positano/Italy take credit card! You may opt to pay for a few things using cash — the best place to get cash is in Italy. Always use a credit card that will take care of the exchange fee for you, and if using an ATM to get cash, don’t select the option to have your cash converted from US dollars to euros — just pick Euros.
Is there an itinerary?
Yes! There is a tentative itinerary on the Itinerary page.
